Buyer's & Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty

Buyer's Stamp Duty (BSD) is payable on every property purchase, charged on progressive tiers of the price or market value (whichever is higher). Residential property uses a 6-tier table (1%–6%); non-residential and industrial use a 4-tier table (1%–5%).

Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD) applies only to residential property and depends on buyer profile and the number of properties owned — from 0% (Singapore Citizen, 1st property) up to 65% (entities). For joint purchases, the highest ABSD rate among all co-buyers is applied to the entire purchase price — ownership share does not reduce it.
